prayer

it's been really cool this week as we started our Christmas-Card-Prayer-Week for our first family. i've always tried to put the cards leftover from the holidays in a basket on our table for the year and pray for families throughout the year but the basket always got moved or put away and i'd forget or get distracted. my friend amy had an idea to hole punch the cards and hang them on a ring on a hook or wall! which i love bc that family's faces are there for us to see all day and week long as we walk past and pray not only at meal times but without ceasing, a more constant day thing, when we see them. we will contact them and ask them for specific prayer requests or just send them a note telling them they are being prayed for....it's already been a great thing for liam to see and take part in. AND a cool lesson in being intentional! definitely should try this with your kids and family. let's see what can happen in this new year when we are intentional about interceding for others and serving one another!!
