this verse...this weekend, this heart.
oh man, i needed to hear this. and be reminded.
of this grace.
that not only did he not leave us as orphans by adopting me into His eternal forever family....
He came to us, to this earth. to be one of us. to rescue and reconcile.
He came after us. after me.
He pursued us. even when we didn't want it or deserve it. He came after us.
with an 'i love you no matter what, unconditional and chasing, i'm looking for you" kind of love.
i want to love that like. love my husband that way, my kids. my family, my friends. my neighbor. my community.
not lazy. not self-serving. not conditional.
with that kind of chasing after, pursuing kind of love.
i fail in so many ways.
but there's grace. His grace.
and in hard seasons,
of feeling alone or exiled
we must remember
John 14:18.

We must have been on the same page this past week. I finished a post that will be published on a different site next month on serving without condition--like Christ to us, his children. Thanks, friend. God is good.
Mmm. I have been learning recently that our God is a relational God. We need to remember how important relationships are - with him, and with others.
