what does one do? upon hearing news that their daughter's story was not accepted to be one of the 80 published? after all these months of waiting to hear back from an editor on a project? hoping for it to be a sweet birthday gift to her girl? a no? on the first day of november, her month, a month that weighs heavily on this family already?
well, after stinging heart, crushed pride, and a bit of normal selfish anger and tears, she CHOOSES to fight back against discouragement. AND to persevere and find joy in the 30 days ahead instead of be filled with bitterness. because that's what GRACE looks like and feels like and acts like, thank you JESUS.
AND with tender heart and fresh humility she INVITES friends and family to help her family FIGHT FOR JOY in a hard month with something she will call Sydney's Grace to Others...30 days of random acts of kindness towards others..strangers, neighbors, family, friends. 30 days of choosing others over self, 30 days of thankfulness, serving, giving and living Grace out loud. a bitter heart rots bones but a thankful one, even bleeding? screams Grace and Mercy and gives life.
