Truth vs. Emotion

........"to overcome how you feel with what you know." This is what a sweet friend said to me today and this is exactly what I have been wanting and praying for. This is a good way of putting it. Another friend and I have been talking about wanting, needing and trying to live our lives where Truth wins out over Emotion. Live by what you know is true, even if you don't trust it at the moment with your emotions, your pain-filled heart...My emotions, however honest and deserving they may be, are fleeting, so conditional at times, but God's Truth is never changing. I must remind myself to remember that, even when the Light is out. Claim Truth, God's Truth and His Promises and let that scream louder in my head than my heart may be crying. God, let this be real to me today. Help me to put this idea into motion.
