Come Quickly, Spring...
...Ian and I are ready for spring to be here...We anxiously await the departure of this winter season, to usher out a time filled with bitter cold, dead branches, icy winds and gray, the only color we see, death everywhere we look.....I am not sure we have ever looked forward to the change of a season more than this time in our lives...come quickly, spring...we need your fresh colors and renewal of spirit, your green grass and sprawling roses on our porch...we need your warm days filled with sunshine and cool mountain air at night, whispering breath back into our souls...we need the life you breathe back into the ground that brings the earth back alive...we wait for you...we are ready.

Oh, how my heart nods in agreement with yours. Fall brought such healing in our lives, as it was the bitter summer heat that we felt might burn as alive in our grief. There will be healing in the blooms and evidence that He still moves stone, as there was in the changing of the leaves for us. I am praying you see signs of beautiful new life all around you.
AMEN! COME spring come. Cookouts, the kiddos in the yard making messes instead of in the house, walks every morning (right, lyss? ha.), we can't wait either.
hey alyssa,
i just wanted to share with you that we lost baby #3 this weekend. i was 7 weeks pregnant, and miscarried on saturday morning. i have thought about you several times over the weekend, as i experienced for the first time what it is like to lose a baby. i empathize even more now, as i understand the sadness and pain. i am praying for you, as i pray for myself, that the God of all comfort will continue to comfort you. that He will fill your heart and mind with His Word. that His peace will reign in your heart...even as you grieve. much love and many prayers, angie
