Strike twice?

"Lightning doesn't strike twice in the same place...Hang in there..." I read that this morning on one of my "grief sites" I go to....Really? People really believe that? I guess that helps them keep the faith and hang on, but they obviously have never met me....In fact, I met a family this last week who had lightning strike in their lives twice, one right after another....2 losses in a row...Lightning struck our family twice....We were just blessed enough to have Liam survive....I will spend the rest of my life, struggling with why Sydney didn't....so, while this quote might work for some, this saying doesn't sit well with me or ring true for me either....but whatever gets you through, I guess...

You know, people say what they have heard and it seems to make sense at the moment(or not). They, too, are trying to make sense of the tragedies of life. Truth is, we don't know what to say to make it better for you. You will go through this tough time with God and Ian and your family and friends at your side and you will come out a stronger and better person. What you are going through is in God's timing. He does have a plan for your life, and for however lame it may sound, I believe he is working through you right now through this blog. I read it every day to see how things are going. My heart has been aching for all of us, but I know from experience, things do get better. I want you to hold on to that dear, sweet Lyssa, because I love you dearly and have every intention of spending lots of great family times with you. Mamaw
